	Chamber of Commerce Awards 2011 - Business of the Year Eastern Storage Equipment is pleased to announce that we have won the East of England region Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year award for 2011. The judging focussed on financial performance and future objectives, the competitive advantage of the business, and looked at examples of specific strategies which have driven business growth. We are very proud to have been recognised for our achievements in these areas.
	Shortlisted for EDP Business Awards 2011 - Business Development Award This popular category provides the opportunity for businesses which have grown significantly to receive recognition for their achievements. The winner will have demonstrated how it has grown its overall business through innovation and planned development, supported by strategic investment. This may, for example, have been achieved by the implementation of a new strategy, the launch of a new product or service or through a successful merger or acquisition. The judges will be looking at how the development has been reflected in increased turnover and employment and, most importantly, in enhanced profitability. They will also focus on sustainability and the long term goals and strategy that have been put in place to maintain financial security and success.
	Shortlisted for EDP Business Awards 2011 - E-Commerce Initiative Award A brand new category this year, the eCommerce Initiative has been introduced to celebrate those businesses which have embraced the future by looking online to take their business forward. The winner will have demonstrated how it has successfully utlised eCommerce or a transactional website of any kind to drive sales or ordering within its business during the past year. This could be; a b2b or b2c bricks and mortar business which has moved into ecommerce sales a b2b or B2c bricks and mortar business which has used online to deliver more order or enquiries. an online-only business which has successfully introduced new innovation into its model over the past year The judges will be looking at how progress has been reflected by achievements in terms of growth in online sales, orders or business enquiries, improved turnover, return on investment.
