ESE Brief History
Eastern Storage Equipment Limited (ESE) is one of the leading independent UK commercial warehouse / office refurbishment project specialists, as well as manufacturers, suppliers and installers of industrial storage equipment, materials handling equipment, workshop equipment, health and safety products, changing room furniture, lockers and business mail order items.
Established in January 1975 by Brian Francis, ESE originally operated from a summerhouse in a back garden just outside Norwich, Norfolk. Rapid expansion led to a number of moves, culminating in a final relocation in 1980 to our current headquarters in Northumberland Street. It is from this location that we serve our extensive, loyal and extremely varied customer base throughout the whole of the UK (apologies but we do not currently export).
The range of products and services offered has diversified significantly over the years and in 1999 Brian's eldest son, Simon took over as Managing Director (having started in 1984 in the warehouse and gained experience in all divisions of the business first). Since then turnover has virtually doubled and the customer base has more than trebled, yet ESE remains a relaxed, very friendly and highly customer focused business and we would welcome your enquiry / order and the opportunity for us to demonstrate what makes ESE different to the competition.

Structure
ESE has three primary divisions:
1) Since 1983 ESE Projects has been designing and undertaking refurbishment contracts for offices, warehouses, factories, leisure facilities, retail premises, trade counters and stores / stock rooms. Using the latest computer-aided design and costing software to ensure the most cost-effective, ergonomic and practical solutions are offered to suit your requirements and budget whether it is a thousand pounds or hundreds of thousands of pounds.
We have extensive experience of office partitions, industrial partitioning systems, mobile shelving, racking, mezzanine floors and trade counters, working on customer sites as part of a team or even as a principal / sole contractor, we would welcome the opportunity to discuss your requirements in detail.
2) Since 1987 ESE Direct has supplied and delivered in excess of 20,000 products such as shelving, workbenches, sack trucks, signs, first aid kits, plastic containers, bike racks, cycle sheds to name a few via a comprehensive free mail order catalogue and 10,000 on a dedicated online store.
We are a UK "business-to-business" supplier, regularly processing orders from a few pounds to tens of thousands of pounds and you can order from us by phone, fax, email, online or by post if you prefer.
3) Since 1990 Vers-a-bench has specialised in the design and manufacture of cloakroom seating, changing room benches, lockers and garment racks to suit the leisure, education, health and business markets.
We manufacture nine unique ranges with many varying options. We are confident we can provide strong and competitive solutions to meet your needs. If however, our standard products are not perfect for you, we will design and manufacture a cost effective bespoke system to suit your exact requirements.

We have won a number of National and Regional Awards for our services and our fully integrated ICT / Phone / CRM / Accounts and e-business systems that have been created in-house by our dedicated team. Socially responsible ~ We strongly believe in giving something back and encouraging a good life/work balance for our team (the majority have been with us for 20+ years).

We donate annually to deserving Local community programmes / charities through Norfolk 100.
We Recycle ink cartridges, laser toners and mobile phones via KMP in Norfolk for Charity.
We sponsor a Local football team and other local events when funds permit.
We are championing the www.agoodcause.co.uk system of businesses donating to charity.
Economically sustainable ~ Like everyone we have to make a profit to maintain our proud history (Est 1975), however huge profits are not our driver, we are driven to:
